1.2. Building A Team Roster

1.2.1. Join Password:
The team leader sets his Team's Join Password on his team details page.

1.2.2. Player Join Team Request:
Once a password is set by a team, the players then can log into ugc page page on steam link. They then navigate to roster membership tab, and send a request to join a particular team using that "Join Password". - On the Team Leaders Roster management page, that "Join Request" will show up above the roster listing. The team leader can "accept" or "reject" that join request, shown with complete player information. If the team leader accepts, the player add member to roster page loads with steam id filled in, and the team leader can simply click "add to roster".

1.2.3. Player Dropping a Team:
Players can drop their roster listing at anytime from their steam logged in player page. When they do that, the Team Leader is notified on his Roster page, and on his leader homepage. Navigating the Leader page
You will get to the Leader page by clicking the Leader Login button on the top left corner of the main page.

Match List: Shows all of your Team's Matches this season, follow link to your Match Details page for Match Comms, and Report Scores links.

2.2. Co-Leader Logins

Some teams require additional leader login accounts for co-leaders. We prefer one team leader, but we will make additional accounts for your team on request. The current team leader can message us with the co-leaders roster name and his email; we will send him his own team leader login. Caution, this will grant your co-leader all of the same team management functions that the primary leader has.

Any Player listed on the Team Roster as a "Leader" can post to the Leader's Match Communications via his Steam Login to UGC.

3. UGC MMR System updated: Fri, 1/16/15

3.1. Anyone that joins UGC Dota 2 will be required to update their MMR through the UGC Bot. To do so, Log in through Steam at our home web page, under your name select "Team Membership", and select "MMR Bot Update".

3.1.2. Players and Teams that do not do the MMR bot process WILL NOT be allowed to play in UGC. This counts for your entire roster with starters, backups, and anyone that joins midseason. Each season players are required to update their MMR through our UGC Bot, even players who've already played in previous seasons due to your MMR that can change.

3.2. MMR is required to play

Any player that joins needs some type of MMR either Solo and/or Team MMR, the UGC MMR Bot will know and it gets recorded so UGC can place teams based on each teams overall MMR. For any technical problems that may occur in the UGC MMR Bot please contact us through email [email protected] and we will assist you as soon as possible.

3.3. Why is UGC using an MMR Bot?

We feel this is the best way to place amateur teams that sign up to the league. Since we have various skill divisions for each region, we want these games to be as fair as possible.

4. Schedule and Match Comms updated: Wed, 8/27/14

4.1. When are schedules posted?

The schedule is based on weekly rankings and we give teams until Monday night to play their games. There's no repeated opponents for regular season. Every Wednesday schedules get posted and you have til Monday to play it with Sunday being the default day. It's critical to play your games each week in order to play the following week. Majority of the games will be on the default day. If neither team can agree on a time and day, then it always goes back to default day and time.

4.2. What are Match Comms?

Match Comms is the place where you coordinate your match each week with the leader of the opposing team. Teams are required to use the Match Comm panel every week to coordinate the date and time is to be played. All of this information must be captured in writing for every match, whatever is agreed over steam/email still needs to be agreed in Match Comms. The Match Comm panel is the official record used when determining the outcome of a match dispute. Please paste Steam conversations into the match comms if you have used that method to discuss the match with the other team leader.

You can access this section by logging into the UGC website with your leader account. You can find it by clicking on the current week's "Match Details" button listed on the leader homepage or by going into the "My Matches" tab.

4.3. Opponent hasn't responded in match comms yet, what do I do?

Please try adding the other team leader on steam before contacting admins. If the other team leader does not post in match comms, will not reply via Steam and does not show up with the minimum number of players by the default time, only then may you submit a forfeit win (default win).

4.4. Opponent not showing up

Teams are required to post in UGC's Match Comms at least 24 hours before the default day and time, which are Sundays. UGC will check your match comms to see if you at least tried and made some kind of attempt. Teams are required to wait 15 minutes before submitting a forfeit win.
