problem with ready up mod - L4D

Hi all

So i have my server setup as the website says, however, the ready up plugin doesn't work. At first i thougt it might just need to be updated, so i tried that, nothing, then i typed rcon l4d_ready_enabled 1 into console, i got "Unkown command" ??

My sever box is Linux with the source and meta downloaded from the UGC site on it, im gonna try other versions

Try rcon exec ugc.cfg

And to turn off rcon exec ugc_off.cfg

Also make sure your extension is up to date

You dont need to use l4d_ready_enabled 1 that is built into the ugc.cfg

Let me know if that works.

Hey,

Tryed all that, and i was trying l4d_ready_enabled 1 in console to see what it gave me, so, if the console says unknow command the line l4d_ready_enabled 1 in ugc.cfg doesn't work either

Was the ready-up mod enabled when you exec'd ugc.cfg?
If not you may have some things missing with install

IS metamodand Sourcemod installed to latest versions?
- confirm metamod install by typing "meta version" into server console.
- confirm sourcemod install by typing "meta list" to see if SM is loaded.

If the above is ok, make sure the required pluigns are installed correctly

Setting a server up for Ready up mod is a pain in the butt, there are so many things that can break it - I am praying that Valve gets this right in L4D2 and makes it easier for us to rum matches.

Source Mod Ver is 1.7.1

Yes, both Ext are installed right. It might have something to do with the UGC config, cause i loaded it on our pub server tonight and it took, we all have to ready up to start.

Below is the settings i used on our pub server

// readyup plugin commands
l4d_ready_enabled 1
l4d_ready_both_halves 0
l4d_ready_minimum_players 5
l4d_ready_search_key_disable 0

As you can see the only things i changed was the min # of ppl needed to start to 5 and the search key works....

One question, do you still see the ready up pulgin-thingy in-game if theirs only one player their? if yes, then their is something wrong in the ugc config, if no, i feel very stupid

Are you running these is your server.cfg ?
// readyup plugin commands
l4d_ready_enabled 1
l4d_ready_both_halves 0
l4d_ready_minimum_players 5
l4d_ready_search_key_disable 0

If so take them out , It looks like the server cfg is exec the cvar instead of the ugc cfg.

In your post you have Source Mod Ver is 1.7.1
That is your meta mod version

While in game type in console sm version
And look for something that looks like this,

SourceMod Version Information:
SourceMod Version: 1.2.4-de
SourcePawn Engine: SourcePawn 1.1, jit-x86 (build 1.2.4-dev)
SourcePawn API: v1 = 4, v2 = 3
Compiled on: Oct 1 2009 05:59:28
Build ID: 2790:716ad2a236fe-dev
http://www.sourcemod.net/

Copy and paste what you have.

Thanks
Snowy
